Good reads from the past week (or so):


Scotsman.com posted a powerful article about a young woman in Scotland who suffers from rheumatoid arthritis but has found strength through her advocacy work: "Arthritis ruined my childhood. Helping others is my therapy."


EmaxHealth asks and answers the question, "What is An Autoimmune Disease?" in honor of National Autoimmune Diseases Awareness Month (March).


Immunology published the article "Researcher steps closer to understand autoimmune disease" about University of Alberta researcher Troy Baldwin's work to understand why the body's T-cells attack healthy cells, causing autoimmune disease. 


ABC reports that television personality Nick Cannon (recently diagnosed with lupus nephritis) has a plan for improving his health: "Recovering Nick Cannon's Rx: No More Happy Meals."
